'Cobra Kai' Season 2 on Netflix: Fans want Miguel and Sam to get back together
One of 'Cobra Kai's plot points in Season 2 involved the love "square" between the four young characters - Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser), Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan), Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña) and Tory (Peyton List). In season 1, it was shown that Miguel and Sam were in a relationship until the latter broke up with him because of his change in attitude.
The show also saw the introduction of Tory in the second season, who over the course of the series starts dating Miguel, while Sam stars dating Robby. But at the same time, Sam is still known to have feelings for Miguel and at one point kisses him, infuriating Tory.
This leads to a no-holds-barred brawl between Sam and Tory, that sees Miguel and Robby lock horns as well. The fight ends tragically for Miguel after he is kicked off the stairs and is shown to be critical at the end of the season.
While the second season is officially done, fans have had a few theories about what will unfold in the upcoming season and one of them is a sincere wish that Sam and Miguel get back together. Talking to MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), Mouser spoke about whom she would choose if it came down to Robby and Miguel and was single by the end of the season.
This theory has sparked some hope among fans that the duo will get back. "For Samantha, she personally connects with Miguel, because he is representative of everything that she was kind of moving against in the first season. He was this kind warm person who just had this big heart they have this cool connection over being just normal kids, not being caught up in this drama and its kind of like centered her," Mouser said.
One of the fans also theorized that Miguel and Sam will eventually get together because one, they are in the same hospital at the end of season 2 and two, Robby was basically a temporary love interest and the duo connected because they had the same problem.
The theory was that Miguel and Sam were together for a longer time and that would mean that she still harbors feelings for him. Further fueling this theory was the scene in the ninth episode of the second season where she kisses Miguel despite dating Robby at that time.
If the two manage to get back together, what about Robby and Tory? Robby was shown to be MIA after Miguel's accident, while Tory was seen glaring at Sam indicating that the fight wasn't over. Season 3 will have to answer a bunch of questions and one of them will be about who Sam will choose. The show was renewed recently for a third season and will premiere in September 2020. Meanwhile, 'Cobra Kai' Seasons 1 and 2 are available for streaming on YouTube Premium.
