It's showtime! Country music's biggest names are joining forces to celebrate the heroes fighting the pandemic on 'CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special'. The one-night two-hour special kicked off on June 3 at 8 pm and it included singers such as Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Brandi Carlile, Sam Hunt, Darius Rucker, Brothers Osborne, Florida Georgia Line, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and more. There will also be appearances from Carrie Underwood, Kristen Bell and Lauren Daigle.

The livestream concert is recognizing Covid-19 heroes in the following categories: healthcare, education, business, community leaders, food industry, infrastructure, first responders, US Military and more. The stars are virtually honoring the heroes of the pandemic as they broadcast from their respective homes through virtual tributes, call-outs and performances.

First in line to perform was Little Big Town who delivered a silky smooth rendition of 'Bluebird' from their latest album 'Nightfall'. "It’s an honor to be apart of this show tonight for CMT for all the frontlines heroes or workers for our communities and our neighborhoods that have stuck together and that are cheering each other on, we’re gonna sing this song as a dedication for you tonight," said Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild before the group's performance. "We sure hope it brings you peace and joy and we can’t wait to be together with you soon," she added. Fans loved their performance, describing their song as "amazing". One fan said, "Great job, one of my fav songs of the new record" and another said, "you are my favorite country band in the universe I love country music". You can watch their performance here.

Thomas Rhett crooned: "In a world full of hate, be a light. When you do somebody wrong, make it right. Don't hide in the dark, you were born to shine. In a world full of hate, be a light." This was the uplifting chorus of 'Be A Light'. Read a review on Rhett's inspirational song here. You can watch Rhett perform 'Be A Light' on the show here.
