Club Q shooter Anderson Aldrich's mom Laura Voepel arrested just hours after son's arrest
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO: Club Q massacre accused Anderson Aldrich's mother was reportedly arrested on the day of the killings, just hours after her son was arrested after their killing spree left five people dead in a mass shooting on November 19 at a gay club in Colorado.
The 22-year-old suspect's mother, Laura Voepel, 45, was arrested outside her apartment in the morning in Colorado Springs. According to the Daily Mail, Voepel has been charged with yelling outside her home and resisting arrest.

Cops warned Voepel "multiple times" to "stop yelling" outside her home or to be arrested, the fillings read according to the Daily Mail. As the 45-year-old refused to heed them, she was arrested. There is no mention of what she yelled but police wrote that she "continued to make unreasonable noise directly next to multiple apartments." She was then arrested about 3.30 am. Voepel was not put in jail though.
An officer reportedly said that Voepel had clashed with law enforcement earlier as well. Speaking about Aldrich's arrest, Voepel's ex-husband Aaron Brink told the New York Post that she once called him to say that their son had become increasingly violent and "choked her" in an angry outburst.
Aldrich's court trial begins on December 6. With the possibility of facing charges of first-degree murder and hate crimes, they are to be charged formally. Under no bond hold, they currently remain in jail.
Bartender Daniel Davis Aston, 28, patron Kelly Loving, 40, bartender and bar co-owner Derrick Rump, 38, patron Ashley Paugh, 35 and customer Raymond Greene Vance, 22, were the five people whom Aldrich reportedly gunned down.
In June 2021, Aldrich, who was then living with his garndmother Pam Pullen and her husband Jonathan, fled to his mother's home after threatening them. Later, he threatened to blow up Voepel's home.
"This is your boy, I've got the f*****g s**threads outside. F*****g s**theads got their f*****g rifles out. If they breach I'm [going to] blow it to holy hell. Come on in boys, let's f*****g see it!" Aldrich reportedly says in a video he livestreamed on Voepel's Facebook. They were seen wearing SWAT gear as they entered her home. He was arrested for felony menacing and kidnapping charges, but the charges were dropped this year.
