CLEVELAND, OHIO: Deshaun Watson returned to play against his former team in Houston after serving an 11-game suspension for numerous infractions of the NFL's sexual misconduct policy. Some Cleveland Browns supporters were torn over Watson's comeback.

After the NFL determined Watson's behavior was both "egregious" and "predatory," some people think the Browns quarterback has already paid the price with a lengthy ban. The impact of Watson's activities, which included over twenty allegations of inappropriate behavior, sexual harassment, and at least two allegations of sexual assault, is felt by other followers. Earlier, Watson was sued by 24 massage therapists for sexual misconduct. He reportedly saw over 66 masseuses over a 17-month period from 2019 to 2021. For breaking NFL’s personal conduct rules, Watson received an initial 6-game ban which was elevated to 11 games in total as the case went on.

In the press conference following the game, a reporter questioned Watson about whether or not he felt regret for the misconduct that resulted in his ban. “It’s something that is legal and clinical, we have answered before, and they don’t want me to address anything like that. It was a tough situation, the suspension was tough but at the same time my main focus is we are just trying to be 1-0 as a football player today,” Watson replied, according to Fox News.

In light of his long-awaited return, Watson has been subject to a bag of mixed comments on Twitter. One user wrote, “Playing DeShawn Watson sends a very strong message to women, (we don't care if you were violated) kids that look-up to football players,(if you are a great athlete rules don't apply to you) and to all the sexual offenders you're telling them what they do is no big deal!"

Another one said, "Huh? Signs of progress? So now he only sexually assaults women sometimes? The NFL really is the bottom of the barrel. DeShawn Watson should never be allowed to take another snap."

One person commented, "The fact that Deshawn Watson will actually play football next week makes my blood boil #nfl." Another person joked in relation to his match performance, "Deshawn Watson looks lost without his massages."

One user added, "Feels good to see Deshawn Watson playing again." Another person took a dig at Watson by saying, "Nahhhh Deshawn Watson had more allegations than pass attempts today."

One user blasted Watson's haters by saying, "Geezuz Christ the Deshawn Watson haters are sooo annoying !!! We won he’s not going anywhere . Deal with it hatin a** weirdos."
