Mysterious case of Christina Powell: Missing Texas mom, 39, found dead in car 4 miles away from her home
Update: Missing Texas mom Christina Lee Powell was found dead in the passenger seat of her car which had been parked for 'about a week' in the parking lot of a strip mall.
Powell's body was found in her Nissan Rogue car in the parking lot of the Huebner Oaks Center in San Antonio on Saturday night, July Her body was 'parked in the same location for about a week' before she was discovered, police said. Fox News reported that a security guard at the strip mall found her body following the foul odor that surrounded the parked car. Details about what happened to her from the time she went missing on July 5 is still being pieced together.

A Texas mom has been missing for over a week now. Christina “Chrissy” Lee Powell, 39, was last seen rushing from her house to work. However, she never showed up there.
The mom-of-two disappeared after leaving her San Antonio home on July 5 just after 10:30 am, according to a doorbell camera video provided to Fox News. She was last seen wearing dark pants and a long-sleeved shirt. She worked as a paralegal. Her mother Claudia Mobley said that her daughter was running late and left her cellphone and her Apple Watch behind. Powell reportedly left in her black 2020 Nissan Rogue, with license plate number PYJ 8564, relatives and officials confirmed.

Powell phoned her office before leaving, telling them she would be in late. One of her colleagues came to their house hours later, looking for Powell as she never showed up at work. Mobley said Powell's son, 12, answered the door. “My grandson answered the door, and the lady said, ‘Is your mom here?’” Mobley said. “He said, ‘No, she’s at work’ … He went and checked, and of course, she wasn’t here.” Powel also has a three-year-old son.
“We didn’t really have any kind of in-depth conversation. It was basically, ‘Good morning.’ She told me she was late,” Mobley said. “Then, she was leaving for work and I told her to be careful. And I probably told her, ‘I love you.’” She added, "I felt like she was going, I believed she was going to work — and I think she felt like she was going to work.”
Mobley reported Powell as missing to the San Antonio Police Department the next day. She said it took two or three days before they listed Powell as "missing". The missing mom has a medical condition that requires medication that she was not carrying with her. According to Powell's Facebook profile, she works at Medical Malpractice Law Firm. She has studied at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
The City of Kerrville - Police Department shared a picture of Powell on Facebook, writing, "The San Antonio Police Department is looking for a missing endangered adult, Christina Lee Powell, 39 years old, who has diagnosed medical conditions that require a doctor’s care. SAPD has received information that she might be in the Kerrville area. She has blond hair and brown eyes, and is described as being about 5’2” tall and about 120 lbs. She is believed to be driving a black 2020 Nissan Rogue, with Texas tag PYJ 8564. Powell's mother also took to Facebook to seek help in finding her daughter. "My sweet daughter Chrissy Lee is missing. She left here Tuesday morning on her way to work. She never made it to work and we haven’t seen or heard from her since. If anybody has any information, please let me know. I love her and miss her. Keep us in your prayers," Claudia A Mobley wrote.
