An Illinois woman was arrested on suspicion of falsified vaccination documents in Hawaii. The woman in question is trending on Twitter after her fake vax card read: "Maderna" instead of "Moderna". She also seemed to have provided false information about her quarantine location and period to the authorities at the airport.

In the past, we've reported incidents that have come to light of people being nabbed for selling fraudulent COVID-19 vaccination cards. In the last week of August, a popular TikTok user -- @tizzyent -- posted a video to his more than 2 million followers detailing how a popular anti-vax activist was selling fraudulent COVID-19 vaccination cards with legitimate lot numbers on Instagram. The Instagrammer who goes by the username @5starjazziii advertised her fake vaccination card business to her more than 300,000 followers. A naturopath named Juli Mazi from San Francisco was charged with wire fraud for issuing pills claiming they'd help cure the virus and also issued cards to her patients listing Moderna as the vaccine.

Who is Chloe Mrozak?

Chloe Mrozak is a 23-year-old from Oak Lawn, Illinois. She finished her education at Reavis High School and Oak Lawn Community High School. Her college education details are not listed on her profile. Her Instagram account is set to private. Mrozak was arrested at Honolulu airport where she provided false vaccination documents. She also allegedly falsified information about her quarantine location.

Hawaii uses a program called Safe Travels to verify incoming travelers' vaccination records and/or negative COVID-19 tests. On August 23, Mrozak uploaded and presented the card to a screener at the airport which was flagged as a possible fraudulent vaccination card. Mrozak's hotel reservation too failed to confirm before she left the processing center. According to court documents, the hotel she listed as her quarantine location turned out to be false too, and Mrozak didn't provide her hotel reservation number and return flight information. This made it difficult to track her down initially.

On reviewing the vaccination card, authorities noticed Mrozak misspelled "Moderna" as "Moderna" and listed Delaware as the place where she got her vaccination. The investigating agent contacted Delaware officials to verify her vaccination records but no record was found under her name and date of birth. The agent then met with Quarantine Compliance Check (QCC) team to discuss her case. She was arrested at the airport after an officer spotted her at the airport on the last weekend of August and identified her by her hip tattoo that he discovered from her Facebook profile. She was held on $2,000 bail which she failed to pay. Mrozak was then transported to Queen's for COVID screening and later transferred to the Honolulu Police Department.
