'I’ve eaten more chickens:' Hugh Jackman denies taking steroids for his role in X-Men film series
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Actor Hugh Jackman, famous for his masculine body in the X-Men film series, has denied taking steroids for his role as 'Wolverine'. He said that he ate "more chickens" and resorted to reading about wolves, ahead of his role in 'X-Men'.
In a recent interview on HBO's "Who's talking," Jackman said, "Karma is not good for me." He said that if the deity had anything against him consuming chickens, he will be in "trouble" since he had consumed a lot of them.

“No, I love my job. And I love Wolverine,” Jackman reacted immediately when the interviewer Chris Wallace asked, “Over the years people have wondered, did he juice? Did he take steroids?”
"I got to be careful what I say here, but I had been told anecdotally about the side effects. And I was like, ‘I don’t love it that much.’ So no, I just did it the old-school way. And I tell you, I’ve eaten more chickens — I’m so sorry to all the vegans and vegetarians and to the chickens of the world. Literally, the karma is not good for me. If the deity has anything related to chickens, I’m in trouble", said Jackman.
In other parts of the conversation, Jackson acknowledged that after accepting the role ahead of 2000's 'X-Men,' he had naively studied wolves, as reported by Variety.
Jackman further revealed that he never read the comic book, and when he got the role, he knew nothing about the Wolverines. He wasn't even sure if that was a real animal.
“So I went [to set] with all these wolf moves and I was doing these moves, and the director said, ‘What are you doing?'” Jackman continued. “And I said, 'Well, I was just thinking wolves are always looking like this because they’re actually smelling, they’ve got their nose to the ground. That’s why they’re looking like this all the time.’ And he goes, ‘What do you mean a wolf?’ And I said, ‘Well, you know, Wolverine — I’m part wolf so…’ and he goes, ‘No, you’re a wolverine," said Jackman to mention the fact that he was not aware of the differences between a wolf and Wolverine.
On the work front, Jackson will return as Wolverine in the next "Deadpool 3" film from Marvel.
