'Chicago P.D.' Season 7 Episode 7 will see Voight working with Chicago mob boss Darius Walker

The Intelligence Unit's plan to nab a dealer goes wrong and another CI gets murdered, leading Voight to reevaluate his decision to work with Darius.

'Chicago P.D.' is currently in its seventh season and we have just a handful of episodes to go before the winter finale. Last week's episode was quite heavy and proved disappointing for many viewers as the police department decided to frame an innocent black man instead of owning up to their fatal mistake.

The focus was largely on Detective Jay Halstead whose Voight-like decision turned out to be something he regretted, which may signal that he would be ready to disagree with Voight's methods more. This week's episode will see Michael Beach return as Darius Walker -- the Chicago mob boss who is a Robin Hood at heart. Darius may be the king of the drug empire in Chicago, but he uses the proceeds to build schools in and promote African-American communities.

Hank Voight made the decision early on in the episode to rope in Darius as a CI for the Intelligence Unit as the former seemed to agree that Darius does more good than anyone who could come up in his absence.

The focus of the Intelligence Unit this week would be trying to get a deadly drug off the streets and Interim Superintendent Jason Crawford asks Voight to investigate it. Voight will go to Darius for the information, but the two do not trust each other much. After much persuasion, Darius does give Voight a lead, but the team's plan to nab a deal goes wrong. Hailey rides with a CI, but it turns out, his intention was not to lead them to the dealer, but instead cause an accident. Hailey might not come out of it okay, according to the promo this week.

This incident and another CI getting murdered mean Voight and his team have to reconsider their decision about working with Darius Walker, but we hope they work it out because Michael Beach makes a great addition to the cast.

'Chicago P.D.' airs on NBC on Wednesday nights.
