We may have just one more episode to go in the current seasons of the 'Chicago' franchise shows, which include 'Chicago Fire', 'Chicago PD' and 'Chicago Med'. However, these shows are certainly giving us a few moments to hold dear as the end draws near.

Nurse Maggie Lockwood got married to her boyfriend, Ben recently after a tough season on 'Chicago Med'. At the beginning of the season, Maggie was diagnosed with cancer. To hide it from the people she works with, Maggie sought treatment at another hospital. This is how Maggie met Ben who was getting chemotherapy treatments at the same time. They soon grew closer and quickly became romantically involved and gave each other hope.

At one point, we thought Maggie was going to go through heartbreak as Ben got really sick. However, both Maggie and Ben pulled through and got married. That happiness was extended and doubled as both became concerned over the medical treatment of a boy named Auggie at the hospital. After negligent treatment by the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) worker, Maggie and Ben took it upon themselves to ensure Auggie's safety. As Auggie's life was saved, the newlyweds made the life-altering decision to foster him.

Fans were thrilled for Maggie and Ben. One fan tweeted, "Maggie & Ben are a Godsend. Glad Auggie has them to [look out] for him," while another wrote, "Please. Like there was any doubt that Maggie and Ben were not going to end up fostering him. #ChicagoMed just had to make this magical moment where they clasp hands and read each other's mind."

One fan tweeted, "Tonight's #ChicagoMed was very good. I was a rollercoaster of emotion Sad, Mad, then asking why? I'm glad Maggie and her husband stepped up for [Auggie]." Another opined, "Yay! I know Maggie and her hubs were going to foster that Auggie. I wished someone loved me that well as a kid to give me a family #fostercare #chicagomed."

A fan wrote, "The way Ben and Maggie communicate without even talking to each other I swear. #ChicagoMed." Another viewer tweeted, "Maggie is gonna foster Auggie y’all, excuse me, I got a little emotional lol."

However, some fans were disappointed that Maggie was given the storyline of starting a family when the same had been teased for April Sexton and Ethan Choi through the season. A viewer wrote, "I’m thrilled for the Maggie and Ben adoption foreshadowing, but it’s not lost on me that these writers low key sacrificed Ethan & April and gave Maggie & Ben the storyline we were set up to expect from them with Emily’s baby."

'Chicago Med' airs on NBC on Wednesday nights at 8/7c. The final episode of the current season will air next week on April 15.
