Spoilers for 'Chicago Med' Season 5 Episode 19 'Just a River in Egypt'

'Chihards' know that what happened in tonight's (April 8) episode of 'Chicago Med' was a long time coming — Dr Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and Dr Marcel Crockett (Dominic Rains) finally came to blows over April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta).

The episode began in a tense way when Ethan walked in on Crockett training April to become the nurse for the Hybrid Operating Room (OR). Now, we get why Ethan is upset, considering Maggie was the Hybrid OR nurse last season — and she was good at it — yet, Crockett keeps insisting that April is the best choice. It's a little hard not to see right through Crockett.

Things are made worse when Crockett and Ethan work on the same patient. As usual, they disagree on one thing on another and this is obviously made worse by the hovering tension. When Ethan pushes a patient to prove his point and gets his way, Crockett gets angry and confronts Ethan, telling him to do what he wants knowing that Ethan's anger is about April and not the patient, leading to Ethan socking Crockett.

But by now, viewers have had enough of the Marcel-Choi war and their reactions tell the same. One viewer tweeted, "This Ethan and Marcel war is already old and I’m bored can Marcel and Natalie just have hate sex #ChicagoMed."

Another said, "How many ethical rules were broken in this episode? Everyone is doing what they want #ChicagoMed."

Fans also felt that Ethan crossed the line in this week's episode. One viewer wrote, "Dammit Ethan. You stay effing others over for doing anything you deem 'a rule'. And then here you go. #ChicagoMed I'm so tired of him."

Another tweeted, "I’m not liking how Ethan is pushing for an answer. I know he wants to help the boy but the lady is injured!!!! #ChicagoMed."

One fan opined, "Dr Choi you know that medical line you should never cross. Well, you just crossed it and that’s not good."

However, some fans felt that it was right of Ethan to finally put Crockett in his place. One viewer wrote, "Dr Marcel had that well-deserved ass-whupping coming for a long time. Let's be real."

Another tweeted, "Of course, they will say Ethan is wrong and he will get the blame in this storyline. This storyline supposed to make Crockett look good. This is Alex and George from GA, all over."

'Chicago Med' airs on NBC on Wednesday nights at 8/7c. The final episode of the current season will air next week on April 15.
