Fans are contemplating that a new relationship might be on the horizon of 'Chicago Med' after Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains) and Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) worked a case together — they sensed that sparks might fly but we haven't seen anything to suggest so since.

In this week's episode of 'Chicago Med', we will get another chance to examine how well they might work together again, however, the situation is direr this time. After a convicted murderer escapes, Natalie and Crockett are abducted by his associate.

Both doctors are held at gunpoint and threatened to perform an "impossible surgery" on the escapee according to the promo. If he dies, Natalie and Crockett's lives are in danger. Will they be able to make it out of this alive?

The episode will also feature Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) and Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) clashing over patient treatment plans. We have seen them clash earlier in the season and we're a little worried about Will's volatile behavior.

Of course, this may in part due to his strained "relationship" with Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram), the gynecologist at the hospital who happened to be an addict. While Will tried to get her clean, his plan backfired.

We will also see Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and nurse April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) work a case together, but they realize that the patient might be running a scam.

Finally, the promo also suggests that Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett) will be receiving some good news. Earlier this season, Maggie was diagnosed with cancer and has been battling it since then. We hope this good news means Maggie's cancer is on remission and that she is on the path to recovery.

'Chicago Med' airs on Wednesday nights on NBC at 8/7c.
