'Chicago Med' Season 5 Episode 13: Natalie, Marcel could get together but fans aren't sure about 'Mancel' ship
'Chicago Med' may be a medical drama but there are a lot of broken hearts to nurse on the show. First, there was Dr Natalie Manning who went running back to Dr Will Halstead after she got all of her memories back.
Unfortunately, Will chose that moment to stop going after her, telling her that they are bad for each other. A subsequent episode also showed us that Will and Natalie could potentially never remain friends either.
Then there is Dr Crockett Marcel, who foolishly started developing feelings for nurse April Sexton. April drifted towards him as well when her relationship with Dr Ethan Choi got strained. This happened initially because she felt Ethan might be getting too ahead of himself with the family planning, and then because she found out that she could not get pregnant.
Ethan was deployed in the fall finale after a bad fight with April and April ended up sharing a passionate kiss with Marcel. Of course, that too ended up going nowhere as April and Ethan got right back together as if nothing had happened — probably because April didn't tell Ethan that something happened — leaving Marcel to pine over April.
However, over the past couple of episodes, fans have begun to notice the conversations and the stolen glances shared between Natalie and Marcel and they are now convinced that the newest ship on the show — 'Mancel' — is taking root.
One fan wrote, "totally shipping dr marcel and dr manning!!! omg." Another disagreed, writing, "I swear to god if they are thinking of putting Manning and Crockett together I will fire the whole writing squad #ChicagoMed."
Fans are understandably also confused. Most fans don't want Natalie and Will to be over, while some are still hoping April and Marcel get together.
One viewer tweeted, "So #Mancel is happening. We are going on the love square or rectangle with April. Ethan, Natalie, and Marcel."
