In the last week's episode of 'Chicago Fire', we saw Lt Kelly Severide officially return to Firehouse 51 after being let go off from the Office of Fire Investigations (OFI). In this week's episode, much to viewers' delight, Severide works with Captain Matthew Casey to solve a case of false alarms.

When Truck 81 rushes to a private school after their alarm goes off, the school administrator tells them that it was just a case of false alarm. Though irritated, the firefighters move on to another distress call.

Unfortunately, they arrive a little too late and a man ends up being critically injured. Casey and Severide realize that if they weren't called to the school, they would have reached the victim in time and saved him.

When they try to talk to the school administrator, he refuses to let them talk to the students to figure out who is responsible. While Casey does not want to cause a teenager to be arrested, he does want to do something about it.

And so, the firefighters of Firehouse 51 go to the private school and hands out flyers asking students not to pull false alarms and the dangers that it could cause.

When Casey and Severide walk to work the next morning, they notice one of the students walking to the firehouse. However, when the student sees that they saw him, he walks away.

The same kid later tries to sneak into Firehouse 51, giving us a clue that he could be the kid who pulled the false alarm. The kid tries to escape, but Hermann and Severide catch him in time.

However, the kid, Jared, wanted to drop off a list of names of the students near the fire alarm. He wanted to help the firefighters figure out who the culprit was as he believes the students should not be allowed to act irresponsibly.

Later, when a false alarm is pulled at the school again, Chief Boden threatens the school administrator to help them find the culprit unless he wants the police to be involved. The alarm near the gymnasium was pulled and on viewing surveillance footage from around the gym, they realize that the culprit is still inside.

The firefighters conduct a thorough search of the gym. Severide and Casey then move to the locker room and on pulling back a shower curtain, they see that the culprit is a young boy named Elijah.

On talking to the kid, who just transferred from a public school, Boden, Severide and Casey learn that he did it to get the school in trouble and shut down so he could go back to his old school as he was being bullied constantly by his peers. The administrator then promises to do what it takes to stop the bullying. At the end of the episode, Elijah shows up with his father at the hospital and gives the victim from earlier a "Get Well Soon" card.

'Chicago Fire' airs on NBC on Wednesday nights.
