The team has only played eight games this season, which is by far the fewest in the majors. After making the National League Championship Series's last season, people held a lot of expectations from the team in the 2020 series. But the expectations of the Cardinal fans went down after they lost four of the first eight games. Now in order to get back over .500 once again this season, they need to give a solid performance in this match. Kwang-Hyun Kim will be starting off the match which doesn't hold much confidence for the team, keeping in mind his awful results till now. Kim has scored a 0-0 record along with a 9.00 ERA in this season.
Chicago Cubs Preview
No doubt that the Chicago Cubs have performed tremendously well in this season and they have looked like one of the best teams in the National League. They have won 13 games out of 19 and are still in possession of the first place in the NL Central. However, we have seen Cubs struggling in their last three games to the Brewers, as they have lost all three of them. Luckily, this matchup will be against the team in second place so a victory on Monday would extend the division lead by a full game.

Chicago is currently possessing the first place in the NL Central whereas St Louis has a .500 record, whereas, Cubs have a much more talented roster this season. If Cubs manage to pitch well enough, their chances to win the game will increase. Also, this will be a home match for the Cubs. So our prediction goes in favor of the Cubs.
