Chelsea Clinton takes newborn son Jasper home with mother Hillary and husband Marc Mezvinsky

Chelsea had announced the birth of their third baby on Monday morning with a tweet revealing how she and husband Marc are 'overflowing with love and gratitude.'

Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton was heading home with her newborn, along with mother Hillary Clinton and husband Marc Mazvinsky in New York on Friday, July 26. Three days after giving birth to her third child, Chelsea who was sporting a dark blue and white dress – color-coordinating with her mother - carried baby Jasper swaddled in a white blanket and hat to a black SUV that was awaiting them.

Chelsea had announced the birth of their third child on Monday morning with a tweet revealing how she and husband Marc are “overflowing with love and gratitude.” On Thursday, she thanked the doctors, nurses and other staff at her hospital Lenox Hill.

“Thank you to the incredible @LenoxHill family of doctors, nurses & staff for your wonderful care over the past few days for our family, especially Jasper!” she tweeted.

Marc and Chelsea who got married in 2010, are also parents to 4-year-old daughter Charlotte and 3-year-old son Aidan. Earlier this week, Hillary, 71, and husband Bill Clinton, 72, were photographed earlier in the week visiting the newest addition to their family at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Interestingly enough, Chelsea had worn the same cheery polka dot dress when she left with her second child Aiden from Lenox Hill back in 2016. She had paired it with a low open-toe nude wedge shoe, she went a slightly different route this time around, having opted for closed-toe footwear.

The major difference in the journey back with home with the newborn this time around is that the affair is way more low-key. In 2016, the Clinton family was getting ready for the election with Hillary's face-off against President Donald Trump. Chelsea, Marc, Hillary, Bill, and baby Aiden were joined by several members of staff and they had all posed for photographs at the steps of the hospital. This time around, they left hurriedly, although the media gathered were graced with ear-to-ear smiles and friendly waves.
