'Charmed' Season 2 Episode 4 suggests Jordan's ring could be the key to giving the Charmed Ones their powers back

Magical rings are not new in 'Charmed'. We've seen one already in the first season of the reboot in the form of a magical protection ring that Mel gives to Niko to protect her from demons. With Jordan's ring, it looks like we get to see another one in play.

When 'Charmed' came back for its second season, new characters were added since the sisters were relocated to Seattle, in order to keep them safe from the demons that wished them harm, a sort of "witchness protection". One of those characters is Jordan, who runs a gym in Safe Space and who shares a lot of scenes with Maggie.

Last week, Maggie beat him to the position of Assistant Manager at Safe Space, something Jordan needed to be able to pay rent for his gym. This week, Maggie tries to redeem taking the position from him by qualifying his business for a program for community development.

In the midst of it all, when Maggie shakes his hand, she sees a vision of him saying, "I love you, you saved my life," and though Maggie thinks she read his mind, it later turns out to be a premonition. Through the episode, Maggie keeps trying to touch him — on his shoulder, his arm — to see if she can see anything else, but to no avail.

But that could be because Maggie saw the vision when she was in contact with Jordan's ring. More of this was not explored in this episode, but we think this particular ring — and Jordan — could provide many answers for the sisters' problems.

Jordan tells Maggie that his family was one of the first black families to settle in the area. In addition to that, he also tells her that his family is complicated and that he came back home to look after his grandmother, who had fallen sick.

We don't have much more than that now, but considering the building Safe Space is in used to be a witch asylum, it could imply that Jordan's family history is very much involved with the magical history of the area. And his ring — clearly too odd-looking to be just a normal ring — could be a kind of heirloom that has its own magic as well.

'Charmed' airs on The CW on Friday nights.
