'Castlevania' Season 3 is finally here, packed with tons of bloody delights. After Dracula (Graham McTavish) died at the end of Season 2, it seemed as if the show might lose its spark but fear not, Season 3 is just as exciting.

With Dracula gone, the show lost a compelling antagonist but in Season 3, we see Dracula's former Forgemaster Isaac (Adetokumboh M'Cormack) evolve to match his former master. He may not be the main villain of the season but the mystically-empowered antihero is easily one of the most interesting characters on the show. Much like with Dracula, there are times when we can't help but sympathize with his plans of death, destruction and ultimately justice.

Our heroes Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage), Sypha Belnades (Alejandra Reynoso) and Adrian Tepes / Alucard (James Callis) are all as fun as we remember and in many ways, they are far deadlier and more confident than ever. The new season also introduces a host of intriguing new characters, heroes and villains.

There is the mysterious Count Saint Germain (Bill Nighy), the sisters of Carmilla and Alucard's new friends who save him from an eternity of maddening boredom and loneliness, just to name a few. Even some of the characters who may appear harmless at first sight reveal hidden depths and dangers, keeping the audience on its toes through all 10 episodes.

Season 3's art is just as great as it was in the previous installments with the added bonus of more exotic designs for the night creatures. While in the first two seasons, these monsters from hell looked like half-bat monstrosities, there is a lot more uniqueness to the design of each individual creature this season, especially the ones who are part of Isaac's infernal army.

This show has always had a lot going for it but with biting humor, an insidious conspiracy and loads of brilliant action, 'Castlevania' Season 3 doesn't just match up to the standards set by preceding seasons, it surpasses them.

All 10 episodes of 'Castlevania' Season 3 are currently available for streaming exclusively on Netflix.
