'Cannibal' duo who illegally castrated 28-year-old in Oklahoma cabin offered services online as 'eunuch makers'
Oklahoma police have revealed that the two self-proclaimed "cannibals" who offered their services online as "eunuch makers" removed the testicles of a 28-year-old Virginia man as part of an illegal gender reassignment surgery. Le Flore County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bob Lee Allen, 53, and his partner, Thomas Evans Gates, 42, on Wednesday and charged the duo with conspiracy to commit unlicensed surgery, performing unlicensed surgery, maiming and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, the Daily Mail reported.
Investigators believe Allen led the operation while Gates handed him the tools on a makeshift table in their Oklahoma cabin. On October 13, the victim walked into into McAlester Regional Health Center in southeastern Oklahoma profusely bleeding. Doctors found his testicles had been surgically removed the day before, according to The Oklahoman. Speaking to medical officials, the victim revealed he was castrated in a remote cabin by Allen, who later told him he was a "cannibal" who stored body parts in his refrigerator. The horror cabin is listed on Mister B&B, an LGBTQ home sharing-service, and is called "Bob's weekend wonders mountain retreat," according to the Daily Mail.
As MEAWW previously reported, the 28-year-old victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, flew from Virginia to Dallas before being driven to the Oklahoma cabin for the surgery. He got in contact with the suspects through a website that included a welcome note "from theEunuchMaker and the EM Crew." The volunteer said that Allen told him he had the experience of more than a decade and that he “videos the procedures for personal use,” a court affidavit stated.
The accused also told the man that the surgery "wouldn't cost him anything.” The affidavit stated that the illegal procedure was carried out on October 12, and suspects did not give anything to the volunteer to render him unconscious, instead, he was being injected only "in the needed areas." The victim "stated that after the surgery was over that Allen said that he was going to consume the parts and laughed and said that he was a cannibal.” Allen also spoke about "the time he worked on someone that he described to be crazy and that he left the male opened up to die overnight," per the affidavit.
As reported by The Oklahoman, the volunteer in his statement said that Allen "had six more clients on the way to have the same operation" and the self-proclaimed cannibal "informed him that he had a freezer with body parts and showed him pictures on his phone." But the day after the botched surgery, both suspects had to take the victim to the hospital since he was bleeding a lot. On the way, Allen allegedly told the victim not to pass out or he would dump him in the woods, the affidavit noted. He also asked the volunteer to tell medics he had "done it to himself." But once the man reached the hospital, he informed medical professionals about the two suspects who “tried to get him to participate in cannibalism,” the affidavit added.
Soon police were informed and on October 15, a raid was conducted at the cabin, where investigators discovered a plastic bag "with what appeared to be testicles" in a deep freezer in a bedroom. Besides, they also found a six-foot-tall medicine cabinet full of medications, medical utensils, mushrooms in pill bottles, a cartery tool with blood, xylocaine, among other things.
"I can't say it's cult activity," Le Flore County Sheriff Rodney Derryberry said. "It is something that we have never in my career run across in this part of the country. It is borderline some type of activity... We know there's a lot of rumors out there but at this time there's no danger to the public."
