Two men in Oklahoma were arrested for allegedly performing an illegal gender reassignment “surgery” on a 28-year-old “volunteer”. Bob Lee Allen with the help of his "assistant" Thomas Evans Gates allegedly did the botched surgery on the victim on a wooden table in a remote cabin, where he also allegedly kept body parts of other victims in a freezer. 53-year-old Allen and his 42-year-old staff were arrested on October 15 when they arrived at a hospital in McAlester to visit the unnamed victim, Le Flore County Sheriff Rodney Derryberry said on Tuesday, October 20.The two do not have any type of medical license or certification, police said.

"I can't say it's cult activity. It is something that we have never in my career run across in this part of the country. It is borderline some type of activity. ... We know there's a lot of rumors out there but at this time there's no danger to the public,” Derryberry said as reported by The Oklahoma.

According to reports, the victim had traveled from Virginia to Dallas before being taken to the Oklahoma cabin for the surgery. He got in contact with the suspects through a website. The volunteer said that Allen told him he had an experience of more than a decade and that he “videos the procedures for personal use,” a court affidavit stated. The accused also told the man that the surgery wouldn't cost him anything.” The affidavit stated that the illegal procedure was carried out on October 12 by Allen in which Gates assisted him by giving him the surgical equipment. During the procedure, the suspects did not give anything to the volunteer to render him unconscious, instead, he was being  injected "in the needed areas." The official document mentioned that the victim "stated that after the surgery was over that Allen said that he was going to consume the parts and laughed and said that he was a cannibal.”

Allen also spoke about "the time he worked on someone that he described to be crazy and that he left the male opened up to die overnight."

As reported by The Oklahoma, the volunteer in his statement said that Allen "had six more clients on the way to have the same operation" and the self-proclaimed cannibal "informed him that he had a freezer with body parts and showed him pictures on his phone." But the next day after the botched surgery, both the accused had to take the victim to the hospital since he was bleeding a lot. On the way to get medical help, Allen allegedly told the victim not to pass out as he would dump him in the woods, the affidavit noted. He also asked the volunteer to tell medics that “he done it to himself”. But once the man reached the hospital, he informed medical professionals about the two suspects, who “tried to get him to participate in cannibalism,” the affidavit added.

Soon police were informed and on October 15, a raid was conducted at the cabin, where investigators discovered a plastic bag "with what appeared to be testicles" in a deep freezer in a bedroom. Besides, a six-foot-tall medicine cabinet full of numerous medications, medical utensils, mushrooms in pill bottles, a cartery tool with blood, xylocaine, among other things were found.

Both the accused -- Allen and Gates -- have now been charged with conspiracy to commit unlicensed surgery-felony, practicing medicine without a license/unlicensed surgery-felony, maiming, unlawful use of communication facility, distribution of CDS-including possession w/intent to distribute, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, failure to bury dead human member-misdemeanor, possession of controlled dangerous substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-misdemeanor. Their bond has been set up at $295,000 each.
