Candace Owens says kids are learning 'how to hate White people' in schools: 'Parents need to start suing'
Candace Owens took part in a Fox segment hosted by Maria Bartiromo about racial awareness curriculum in public schools. This curriculum, according to Owens, was teaching students being educated at public schools on "how to hate white people." Bartiromo started the segment by citing an example of how a friend of her had spoken about their kid's school that had sent a note to students from seventh grade, saying: "If you identified as white, come to a meeting because we want to make sure that you can thrive and strive not to be a racist."
It was in response to this on the segment on Sunday, March 14 that Owens argued how parents must pull their kids out of public schools because of this exact reason. Owens also argued that Megyn Kelly had pulled her children out of school for similar reasons. The segment that is 2 minutes and 25 seconds long sees Owens and Bartiromo discuss ways to ensure that the curriculum is not biased and Owens suggests that parents take an active role by suing schools. Bartiromo had complained to Owens, "They're assuming every kid is a racist, Candace." To this, Owens had said, "I know that Megyn Kelly pulled her kids from school for similar reason." She further added, "I truly believe that it's time for us to pull our kids out of school. And I know people say, 'not all of us can afford to do that,' but the country wasn't built on people having a lot of money when they were homeschooling."
She also claimed that what was happening in schools around the country was indoctrination. She said, "It's indoctrination that's happening," and added, "They're trying to fuel racism in this country. They're trying to teach this Marxist ideology. And the bad thing is, Maria, that they're replacing hard academics. These kids are not learning science, they're not learning mathematics, they're learning how to hate White people and they're learning how to hate their country."
Owens also claimed, "I guarantee that they have an ignorant group of people that vote based on emotion." To this Bartiromo said, "This has got to stop!" She then asked, "How do we stop this, Candace? Real quick, you said take the kids out of school. How do you ensure that the curriculum is not biased the way it is right now?" Owens responded, "It is biased!" and said "I think parents need to start suing schools."
Owens had recently also snubbed Meghan Markle's claim of Archie's skin tone being a matter of concern and said in an interview with Fox's Sean Hannity, "If you have seen a picture of Archie and you believe he suffered anti-black racism, then call me a Nigerian prince and give me your credit card.
