ROSEVILLE, CALIFORNIA: A woman allegedly urinated on the floor of a Verizon store after she refused to leave for not wearing a face mask amid the Covid-19 pandemic. CBS Sacramento has reported that in a 911 call, a dispatch operator told a Roseville Police Department officer that three shoppers were “refusing to leave”. Those three shoppers included the unidentified woman also.

The suspected woman without a face mask was asked to leave the store numerous times, but she refused every time. A few minutes later, the operator told the officer that “They’re calling back and advising that that female is pulling down her pants and is now urinating inside the business.”

Like other businesses and retail chain, Verizon has also made it mandatory for its customers to wear a mask while entering the store amid the pandemic. The coronavirus has killed more than 600,000 people across the globe with a total number of positive cases 14,538,115. The US is one of the worst-hit countries in the world because of the deadly virus with over 140,000 deaths.

After the call, Roseville police responded to the scene and found out that the woman had also shoplifted several items from a store of Dick’s Sporting Goods. She was arrested soon after. People living nearby reacted to the bizarre incident. They were also shocked by the woman's irrational actions. “Absolutely not. That’s totally inappropriate. We’re not animals,” Michelle Davidson said. “I’m very disappointed that we as a society choose to have this unity and let the virus divide us.” While resident Kelly Berger said: “I don’t really have much to say except that’s probably not the right way to react to it. Simply wear the mask or leave I guess.”

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Verizon Heidi Flato said that the incident was not just about the mask policy of the company, but chose to remain silent instead of explaining on the whole matter.

This comes after last month, a Texas woman insulted a staff member of 7-Eleven and also spat on the counter of the store. The unidentified woman was recorded as she reportedly spat at the counter and shouted that she has "a right" to not wear a face mask. "I'm spreading more germs standing here," she was heard saying in the recording.

According to reports, the cashier, who was behind a plastic partition, also asked the woman to buy a mask in the store. But the woman yelled and said: “I’m not paying for a fuc**** mask! I’m not paying for it. We have a right in America not to wear a fuc**** mask!” before leaning forward and spitting on the counter.

"It’s disheartening to see a 7-Eleven team member be treated with the disrespect shown in this video. 7-Eleven, Inc. complies with all federal, state, and local laws, which includes local mandates that require face coverings in public. We respectfully ask that customers do the same,” 7-Eleven said in a statement to USA TODAY.

On July 2, Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed an executive order making it mandatory for “all Texans to wear a face-covering over the nose and mouth in public spaces in counties”. "Wearing a face covering in public is proven to be one of the most effective ways we have to slow the spread of COVID-19. We have the ability to keep businesses open and move our economy forward so that Texans can continue to earn a paycheck, but it requires each of us to do our part to protect one another—and that means wearing a face-covering in public spaces,” Abbott said in a statement.
