Los Angeles jailhouse recordings of Hannah Tubbs reveal her admitting it was wrong to attack a little girl but gloating over the light punishment. Tubbs, who now identifies as a transgender female and is now 26, was just a few days away from her 18th birthday when she sexually molested a 10-year-old girl in 2014.

"She boasted that nothing would happen to her after he pleaded guilty due to Democrat District Attorney George Gascón's policies and laughed that she won't have to go back to prison or register as a sex offender. She also made explicit remarks about the victim that are unfit to print," reported Fox 11. LA County District Attorney George Gascón has a policy of not charging anyone under 18 as an adult.

Hannah Tubbs: Outrage after woke DA says trans woman who raped girl, 10, will be charged as JUVENILE

The assault happened on New Year’s Day 2014, when Tubbs identified as a male named James Tubbs. The offender walked into a woman's restroom at Denny's in Palmdale and hid in a stall. When a 10-year-old girl walked in, Tubbs grabbed her and sexually molested her. "The assault went on until someone walked into the restroom and scared [her] off. [She] fled from the restaurant, and [she] went unidentified for several years until a cold DNA hit identified [her] as someone who was arrested in the state of Idaho," LA County Deputy District Attorney John McKinney told FOX 11.

"I'm a plead out to them, and plead guilty. They're gonna stick me on probation, and it's gonna be dropped, it's gonna be done, done. I won't have to register nothing, says Tubbs in the leaked conversation. "For offender, you won't have to register?" asks her father. "I won't have to do none of that," Tubbs replies, to which her father asks, "So what are they going to do to you then?" Tubbs then replies, "Nothing." She adds, "If there is a next time I ever get in trouble, I'm leaving the state, I'm leaving the country. I ain't staying," and laughs.

After being arrested roughly eight years after the crime, Tubbs began identifying as a woman, say the prosecutors. She received a sentence of two years at a juvenile facility because Gascón's office declined to transfer the case to adult court, due to the prosecutor's policy of barring 'children' from being tried as adults. Tubbs could serve as little as six months and won't have to register as a sex offender.

"What is happening is our district attorney is ushering [her] right out the door, back onto the streets of this county and God knows where else [she] might roam. It's madness, it makes a mockery of our criminal justice system," said McKinney. Tubbs' victim told Fox News that Gascón’s handling of the case has been "insulting" and "unfair" to her. "The things he did to me and made me do that day was beyond horrible for a ten-year-old girl to have to go through. I want him tried as an adult for the crimes he committed against me."

In another conversation, Tubbs says, "So now they're going to put me with other trannies that have seen their cases like mine or with one tranny like me that has a case like mine. So when you come to court, make sure you address me as her." She added that if she goes to prison, she's getting a sex change surgery to go into the women's facility. The other person replied, "There's some b***es in there too."

Gascón issued a statement after Tubbs' recordings leaked and caused outrage among people. "Like every responsible office, we learn as we go, take feedback from the community, and make necessary adjustments based on our experiences and the complex nature of this work. Specifically, we learned a lot from the Hannah Tubbs case about the need for a policy safety valve. Ms. Tubbs had several charges in other counties after the juvenile offense but never received any services which both her past behavior and that subsequent to her arrest demonstrates she clearly needs. After her sentencing in our case, I became aware of extremely troubling statements she made about her case, the resolution of it and the young girl that she harmed," read his statement.
