ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA: Security camera footage shows a California home being robbed while the occupants were out for a family dinner. “We actually got a notification on my phone that said something like ‘unfamiliar face seen upstairs,’ and so I looked at my phone, and we just saw it all happen and unfold right in front of us,” Tamara Schlachter, who owns the house, told Fox 11.

A Nest security camera captured the two robbers attempting to enter the home through its sliding glass doors. The unidentified burglars raided the family's possessions for about 14 minutes while donning all-white clothing.

The intruders stole cherished and priceless family valuables, Schlachter said. The burgled items include a pearl necklace that her father gave her when she was born. “There’s people coming in stealing, taking away our safety, which is the most important thing is just that feeling of the loss of safety. Things can be replaced, but I want families to feel safe in their own homes,” she told Fox News 11.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department is looking into the incident, and authorities are attempting to identify the culprits by using the CCTV footage. The sheriff's office is requesting anyone with relevant information to get in touch with them at (855) 886-5400.

In another incident, a gun-toting 12-year-old was caught on security camera robbing a Michigan gas station. The child can be seen in the video waiting in line as the client ahead of him pays for gas. As soon as he gets to the head of the line, he produces a 9mm handgun from his black backpack and demands cash.

Similarly, two individuals recently lured a 59-year-old man to a Queens hotel room under the ruse of sex and tortured him for hours before robbing him. After answering to a prostitution advertisement, the victim traveled to Jamaica's Hotel Ninety Five on August 6 and paid Destiny Lebron, a 19-year-old, for sex, according to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz. He was then subjected to hours of torture in captivity.
