Who is Bryunna Joyce? Florida mom, 19, films herself beating newborn and sends videos to baby's dad
Bryunna Joyce sent videos to her baby's father in which she was seen throwing the newborn baby off the bed and even suffocating her
MIAMI, FLORIDA: A Hialeah woman was arrested on Sunday, June 6, for allegedly abusing her five-week-old daughter in videos she sent to the newborn’s father after an argument.
According to her arrest report, Bryunna Joyce, 19, allegedly first sent the baby’s father a video of her slapping their daughter four times. “You think I won’t kill her. Say it again,” Joyce allegedly texted the man. According to the police, some of the other texts she sent were: “I’m just act like it’s (an) accident,” “She is dead,” “She is dead laying (in) the car seat,” “Like a dog," “F**k this baby.” In one of the texts, she wrote, “Well, this getting boring. I really treat your child like dog s**t. I’m just (going to) send u videos. No more talking."
We have reported similar incidents in the past as well. Last year, we reported that a Virginia mom, Noah Tomlin, tortured her 2-year-old son to death. A coroner found the boy's body in an industrial site, dismembered and butchered, and the only identifiable remains were his left leg and liver. Another Georgia mom, Trinity Pittman, killed her infant son for soiling his diaper. The baby had a broken jaw, cuts and bruises on his face, missing teeth, bleeding in his brain and his abdomen was full of blood. In another bizarre case, a New Mexico father, Brandon Reynolds, was arrested for beating his 5-year-old autistic daughter to death with a shoe for refusing to do homework
According to City of Miami police, Joyce told her daughter’s father that she was going to give “this b***h cat foot” and then sent him another video showing her throwing the baby off the bed.
In one of the videos, Joyce was seen grabbing the baby by the throat, placing her hand over the baby’s face and holding a thick blanket over the baby’s face for 37 seconds as the baby cried and moved her face around in order to breathe. Authorities said Joyce also recorded herself rocking the baby’s car seat back and forth, causing the baby to hit her head on the bottom of the car seat about five times.
Police have not confirmed the extent of the victim’s injuries. Joyce was arrested on charges of written threats to kill or do bodily harm, domestic battery by strangulation and child abuse without great bodily harm.
