Bryanna Barozzini: Student, 18, who fatally stabbed 17-year-old girl Halia Culbertson released on $750K bond
COLUMBUS, OHIO: Bryanna Barozzini, 18, who was charged with the murder of a 17-year-old girl is out on bond. The college student fatally stabbed Halia Culbertson on Sunday night, March 26, near a strip mall in East Columbus, Ohio, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Authorities said that Barozzini swung a knife at the girl during a fight. Culbertson was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, however, she soon succumbed to her injuries. Under Ohio law, the 18-year-old currently faces one count of murder. The defendant appeared for her arraignment in Franklin County Municipal Court on Tuesday, March 28, reported Law and Crime.

Bryanna Barozzini is out on bond with conditions
Barozzini has been set out on a bond amount of $750,085 which was paid on Tuesday. The bond set comes with conditions prohibiting her from visiting the crime scene or possessing ammunition, firearms, or any other weapon and prohibiting her from any contact with the family of the victim.

According to authorities, the surveillance footage and witnesses said the altercation began inside a convenience store at 161 Carryout and continued outside to the parking lot. The accused was later found at her home in Westerville. Culbertson died on Monday at 12.24 am at the Ohio Health Riverside Medical Center.
'Our sister was taken from us unexpectedly and tragically'
Culbertson's grieving sibling started a GoFundMe page with the description, "On March 27, our sister was taken from us unexpectedly and tragically. Please find it in your heart to help, anything will help. Halia was the most loving and outgoing person, she cared for all close to her and she was loved by all of us dearly. We are asking for donations to help Halia go out big like she would want."
The alleged killer who currently attends Columbus State is a graduate of Westerville North High School. On Tuesday, her attorney who pointed to her lack of criminal history stated that she has cooperated with the murder probe and law enforcement.
Talking to WSYX, Louis Barnett, who visits the corner store where the crime took place to buy his lottery tickets, said, "Our young people, their lives are ending just too quickly. It’s scary to know that things like this are going on, and in time I believe that it’s going to work itself out." Barozzini's next court appearance is scheduled for April 6.
