'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 7 Episode 5 spoilers tease Debbie's escalating con as precinct grows suspicious
The Debbie chronicles continue in Episode 5 of 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 7 after teasing us with what the seemingly intimidated and shy detective was capable of right at the end of Episode 4.
After the epic comeback of the Jimmy Jab Games, Episode 4 ended with Debbie sneaking into the evidence room of the 99th precinct and stealing bags full of drugs and ammunition.
It was established that her simpleton persona was just an expertly executed facade because she is clearly working in the Nine-Nine for ulterior motives yet to be disclosed.
However, there is also a high possibility that she is working on the side for Captain Madeline Wunch, whose life's mission is to sabotage anything and everything ex-Captain Raymond Holt is involved with.
Moving on, a leaked clip from the upcoming episode reveals that the precinct — Holt and detective Rosa Diaz at least, have some strong suspicions over who could have stolen the items of evidence.
The leaked clip shows Debbie in conversation with Holt and Rosa, the latter duo trying to figure out who could have stolen from their evidence room.
Holt believes someone with "intimate knowledge of their security system" could have done it, to which Debbie instantly replies suggesting the name of fellow coworker Bryan as a suspect.
When Holt remarks that this whole thing is most likely an "inside job", Debbie explains her suspicion citing that this Bryan owns a hot tub — which is clearly a lifestyle associated with drugs and shady money.
Her look, however, hides little, as the simple Debbie's con finds its way to her expressions and we can tell it is only a matter of time before the precinct nails that coffin and spends their entire time making the arrest.
The fact that another leaked clip shows both detectives Jake Peralta and Rosa in a hotel room with Debbie and the stolen goods sashayed all over the bed is a little confusing.
Debbie can be seen telling the other two she can handle herself thanks to the moves she picked up at self-defense classes at the women's gym, or the lack of it thereof.
Debbie tries throwing a few kicks in the air but really it's just her screaming the word "hiya" as she flings her leg outward so that's another thing she is possibly pretending to escalate her con.
