'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 7 Episode 12 Preview: [Spoiler] gets kidnapped, will Holt recover from this?
The unimaginable happens in the upcoming episode of 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 7 and there's reason to be very, very concerned for Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher.) From screaming his guts out to punching walls, Holt is a loose cannon in Episode 12 'Ransom' and for some pretty obvious reasons.
Looks like the newly reinstated captain just can't breathe a sigh of relief for even a single day, right? According to the official synopsis of the episode, "Holt asks for Jake's help in a case that is exceptionally meaningful to him while Charles and Terry work together on a side business."
But before we dive headfirst into what new business Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews) and Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) have come up with, the Holt thing needs a little more attention. This just in: Cheddar has been kidnapped! As we see in the official promo for the episode, Jake Peralta's (Andy Samberg) voice announces in the background, "The most heinous crime the Nine-Nine has ever faced", as shots of Cheddar running through a dog park and a masked man slyly picking him up pan through the screen, running parallel with Holt's husband, Kevin Cozner, announcing the dreaded piece of news.
Soon we see who Jake is speaking to, as the scene cuts to that of him assuring Kevin that he is going to get their dog back, adding that Holt is dealing with it just fine, as the captain takes his entire frustration and despair out on a wall, going full to town with a slew of punches coming down on the concrete. We haven't really seen Holt come unraveled out of a sense of loss like this, so it sounds like a whole new ballgame to look forward to. But along with that, this is probably the third time we are getting one of those Holt-Peralta team-ups that just highlight how great the makeshift father-son-like duo do when paired together. So of course, Holt reaches out to none other than Jake for help regarding this matter. Knowing Jake is on this case is the only thing that will help Holt recover from the shock and trauma and rest easy. Or not.
Speaking of team-ups, this episode will see another one of those Charles and Terry whackjob business ideas. A second promo clip shows Terry — sore from his most recent workout — getting roped in to believing that the Boyle family potion, 'bone broth', is actually a remedy good enough to cope with post-workout soreness. NBC has already teased through photos that Charles probably has an entire godown of this bone broth locked up somewhere for entrepreneurial purposes and most likely, Terry will become his unwitting partner in making a business out of it,
'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 7 airs on Thursdays at 8:30 pm on NBC.
