CINCINNATI, OHIO: A mother has been charged for the death of her six-year-old boy whom she allegedly murdered and then dumped in a river. Brittany Gosney has been charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence. As per reports, the 29-year-old was the one who reported James Robert Hutchinson missing Sunday morning, February 28, however, further investigation revealed her as the alleged killer.
A statement from police said, “Sadly, upon further questioning of Brittany Gosney and her boyfriend, James Hamilton, they now say that James was killed in Preble County a few days ago. The child's body was brought back to Middletown, where they live, and later put into the Ohio River." The police also stated that they were trying to recover the victim’s body. “We will be working with trained searchers in an attempt to recover James’s body. The river is very high and treacherous, so we will not be disclosing the exact location in hopes of avoiding another tragic incident," they added.

Brittany’s 42-year-old boyfriend was also charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. According to police, two kids who lived with the suspects in the same house have been taken away. "The Middletown Division of Police would like to thank the many people that came out to help search for James and the organized search teams that responded," officials said Sunday night.
The Middletown Division of Police also took to their Facebook page to add an update to the case. “We are no longer looking in the Crawford Street area. New information has led us outside the city limits. Thank you for your assistance,” the message read. Several people expressed their grief in the comment section of the post. One comment read, “This poor baby deserved so much better. I’m sorry your mom wasn’t the protector she was supposed to be. I’m sorry your life was cut short and you couldn’t count on the people who were supposed to be there for you. May your precious soul rest in heaven. You are an Angel who got your wings way to early. I’m sorry we failed you.”
Another comment stated, “Makes my stomach turn knowing there's nasty scum bag ‘humans’; like this in the world. Trash." “HOW CAN YOU KILL YOUR CHILD.SO SAD.I CANT HAVE HAVE ANY.WAS BORN STERILL.SHE SHOULD GET DEATH PENALTY. AND LOOSIER BOYFRIEND! PEOPLE TAKE THINGS FOR GRANTED,” a third comment read.
A person said, “Fly high little guy, you deserved so much better, rest in peace.” And another stated, “So heart crushing. I'm so sorry little one, I wish someone could have helped you sooner! May your little soul rest peacefully now.” A user added, “They wanted the fame and to have all eyes on them. Well guess what you got your wish but not in the way you hoped. You are P.O.S's. How can you report your son missing and damn well knowing he's dead and that you both murdered him. How could you let all these people search for this little boy and waste their time also knowing you both murdered him. What could he have done so badly to you that you decided to end his life. I hope you get the MAX or better yet DEATH!! I hope his little body is found. But with how high the water is and how fast the current may be going he may never be found and may never be layed to rest properly thanks to you a-holes. I hope the inmates rip you both a new one and then some. Smh. How could you. Thankfully the other children were removed and hopefully unharmed. R.I.P James.
