'Brigands: The Quest for Gold' Episode 5 Takeaway: Sparrowhawk faces imminent danger after his secret is revealed

PALERMO, ITALY: 'Brigands: The Quest for Gold' gets further intense in Episode 5 of 'Brigands: The Quest for Gold' as secrets are revealed, loyalties are questioned and difficult choices have to be made.
Episode 5, titled 'The Bride, The Assassin, and The Lunatic', opens at the Brigands forming an alliance with the Giordanos.
However, the collaboration comes at a cost as Maria (Astrid Casali), has to marry Cosimo Giordano (Ernesto D'Argenio), who is finally released from Mignamo prison, further threatening Sparrowhawk's secret.
Sparrowhawk's identity is revealed in 'Brigands: The Quest for Gold' Episode 5
Giordano immediately recognizes Sparrowhawk and reveals his identity to the gang. He is then captured and caged as everyone screams in rhythm - 'Death for the hunter'.
Sparrowhawk's life hangs in the air as he is made to combat against other prisoners one-by-one until one of them kills the other.
Even though Sparrowhawk has won all the fights so far, it's only a matter of time before he loses the battle and eventually his life.
Does Sparrowhawk survive in 'Brigands: The Quest for Gold' Episode 5 climax?
In the final scenes of the episode, we see Sparrowhawk and Filomena (Michela De Rossi) forced to fight each other.
Though it is an easy battle for Sparrowhawk, he can't kill her owing to his romantic feelings for her. He lets himself loose and asks Filomena to hit him.
When she strangles him, he makes no attempt to fight back. He is ready to sacrifice his life for her.
Fortunately, Sparrowhawk survives as Michelina (Matilda Lutz) realizes that her alliance with the Giordanos isn't good for the gang's mission.
Though the alliance seemed aspirational, it diverted the gang from their values and beliefs. Correcting themselves, they disassociate themselves from Giordanos by killing them, thus eventually saving Sparrowhawk and Filomena's lives.
In the finale episode, the gang will work towards their ultimate mission to get the gold in order to save the South. Filomena will hatch a bold plan amid the battle to seize the treasure.
