As the search for murdered Florida travel vlogger Gabby Petito's boyfriend Brian Laundrie, gathers heat, more and more tips about his alleged whereabouts are coming forward on social media. The latest 'sighting' of Laundrie is said to be in Boone, North Carolina.

Petito's body was found in Wyoming's Grand Teton National Park, and her death has been ruled a homicide. Authorities have continued their search for Laundrie, who has been missing for more than a week. Petito, 22, and Laundrie, 23, had been traveling across America in a converted Ford Transit van for nearly two months. The fiance returned to his parents' Florida home by himself on September 1. Petito was reported missing on September 11, more than a fortnight after her mother last spoke to her on phone. Meanwhile, Laundrie refused to cooperate with detectives working the case and mysteriously disappeared on September 12. Laundrie was named a "person of interest" last Wednesday, September 15, and currently has a federal arrest warrant out against him.

Is Brian Laudnrie hiding in Boone?

Ever since Brian Laundrie disappeared, there have been multiple social media reports that have suggested that he was spotted in various places, including Florida, Alabama, Canada, and Mexico. None of these reports have been confirmed by the authorities. The latest report says that Laundrie was spotted in Boone, North Carolina. A person named Robert Wright posted on Facebook saying how many have claimed seeing Brian Laundrie in Boone. Before going missing last week, Laundrie told his parents that he was going for a hike in a Florida nature reserve.

"If Brian Laundrie is really in Boone he’s probs safe since we all know Boone PD is the most incompetent agency on this planet," a Twitter user said, while another noted, "Hey @DogBountyHunter, you should take a trip to Boone, NC!!!!! People are saying they’ve seen #BrianLaundrie!!!!! If anyone can find him, it’s definitely you!!!!!" A third added, "$50K reward for finding Gabby’s ex Brian Laundrie reportedly seen in Boone NC by several. He knows the Appalachian Trail well. Watch for him in NC & VA. Let’s find this POS before he takes another life!" The next commented, "Brian Laundrie sightings in Boone, North Carolina #BrianLaundrie #GabbyPetito"

Another remarked, "Please everyone go watch (Welcometomeltalk) on TikTok!! She has several videos about multiple possible Brian Laundrie sightings in North Carolina!! The sightings have been in Elkin, Boone, Banner Elk, Low Gap, and even going into TN!! #BrianLaundrie #dirtylaundrie #ripgabby." A commenter tweeted, "Have you heard about reports of possible Brian Laundrie sightings in the Boone, NC area? Just curious because I saw a FB post saying that and my parents have a vacation home there that they’re going to this weekend. Apparently BL has a lot of experience in the Appalachian mtns…" A person reacted, "Oh great. Brian Laundrie reportedly in Boone, NC, just up the road from me."

However, not every Twitter user thought that Laundrie had made his way to Boone, North Carolina. User @AngiesByKim1 for example, made the argument of the difficulties Laundrie would face while trying to make their way to Boone. "I dont think Brian Laundrie has made it to Boone either. Your average hiker gets about 18 to 20 miles in a day at 2.3 to 3 miles an hour. That would put him closer to me or the start of the AT if that after 13 days. If Brian Laundrie was seen in Boone, he needs to be caught up with before he has a chance to go west," she said.
