Boycott Bed Bath and Beyond calls reach fever pitch after revelation MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell sought ‘martial law’

MyPillow founder and Donald Trump supporter Mike Lindell was snapped on Friday, January 15, stepping into the West Wing of the White House. The 59-year-old CEO held what appeared to be a coup and eagle-eyed Twitter users soon zoomed into the documents in his hand.

The photograph was first posted by a Washington Post photographer and it went viral in no time, splashing statements like “insurrection act now as a result of the assault” in public view, seemingly referring to last week’s Capitol riot. Moreover, the piece of paper seemed to show Kash Patel, a hardcore Trump loyalist, “as acting CIA” and read in bold at the top: “Frank Colon as acting National Security.”

Before his meeting, the mustachioed businessman of pillows wrote on Facebook: “Keep the faith everyone! We will have our president Donald Trump 4 more years!”

The piece of paper sparked a huge scandal online and now the Internet is calling for the boycott of MyPillow and its supporter Bed Bath and Beyond, a chain of domestic merchandise retail stores, founded by Warren Eisenberg and Leonard Feinstein in 1971. Headquartered in Union, NJ, the company's current CEO is Mark Tritton.

What did his notes say?

Jabin Botsford, a staff photographer at Washington Post caught it on his camera and posted, “@MyPillowUSA CEO Michael Lindell shows off his notes before going into the West Wing at the White House on Friday, Jan 15, 2021, in Washington, DC.”

According to Twitter user Wes Beal, with the handle @wesbeal, the documents translated as: “NOW as Acting National Security” for an attorney named Colon, who was dubbed at being “up to speed on election issues” and apparently based at “Fort Mead”. According to a LinkedIn profile, Frank Colon is currently senior attorney-cyber operations for the 780th Military Intelligence Brigade, at Fort Meade, Maryland.

The notes also mentioned Sidney Powell, the attorney and conspiracy theorist who has been unsuccessfully trying to overturn the elections with Donald Trump's campaign lawsuits.

Among other visible words were the sentences: “Insurrection Act now as a result of the assault on the”, “martial law if necessary” and “Move Kash Patel to CIA Acting”. After reading the note, one tweet read, “They 'may' be 'thinking' that if their supporters' riot on the 17th in DC & various state capitals, that he can invoke the insurrection act. That is my take on it. Getting advice from the MyPillow guy seems like a bad idea.”

Boycott MyPillow

No sooner did the tweet circulate on social media, many Twitter users urged others to boycott the brand. “No loyal American will ever shop at a retail outlet that carries MyPillow, the official pillow of the insurrection. List them here and BOYCOTT. Retweet. Trump ally Mike Lindell of MyPillow pushes martial law at White House,” one tweet read.

Another slammed Bed Bath & Beyond, saying, “Hi @BedBathBeyond: why are you not only carrying this seditionist's product in your stores, but also giving him a large wall display? Do you support Martial Law and insurrection?” A user added, “I was about to go to @BedBathBeyond to get a new spice rack. I’ll never go in there again until they stop doing business with a man that supports terrorism. #boycottmypillow.”

A user tweeted, “#boycottmypillow #boycottwalmart #BoycottBedBathBeyond Until they stop supporting #TreasonAgainstAmerica #mypillowcoup my pillow u need a new CEO fast!” and a fifth added, “I wouldn't even us the covering of a MyPillow to wipe my ass after a bout of explosive diarrhea and not a sheet of toilet paper within 100 miles of my toilet. F**k that bible thumping a**hole and his sh*tty pillows. #BoycottMyPillow.”

Will Bed Bath & Beyond say bye-bye to the MyPillow collection or will the Internet boycott all the products? Only time will tell.
