Originally called 'Sorjonen', 'Bordertown' is a Finnish Crime Drama series that had its recent season debut in Finland in December 2019. Season 3 of 'Bordertown' is set to deliver it's ten-episode Season 3 on Netflix in early May. It has been two years since Season 2 dropped on the streaming service. Season 1 of Bordertown was added to Netflix in March 2017 and Season 2 was added in February 2019. Season 3 has already aired on Yle TV1, a Finnish network, starting December 2019 and ended in February 2020.

Plot

The series chronicles the life of a detective that takes up a job to slow down his work life, but what he ends up with is bigger and more dangerous crimes to deal with. According to the show's official website, this is what can be expected of Season 3, "Before Christmas, the family of Kari Sorjonen, a special unit for serious crimes, faces a tragedy that forces Kari to think about what made them move to the border town."

Ville Virtanen is an actor and director, known for his roles as Eerik in 'Sauna' (2008), as Mikael Lindgren in 'Bad Family' (2010) and 'Karjalan kunnailla' (2007).

The rest of the cast includes, Matleena Kuusniemi as Pauliina Sorjonen, Anu Sinisalo as Lena Jaakkola, Lenita Susi as Katia Jaakkola, Laura Malmivaara as Anneli Ahola, Olivia Ainali as Janina Sorjonen, Matti Laine as Risto Susi-Huhtala along with many more.

The series is directed by Juuso Syrjä, Jyri Kähönen, Miikko Oikkonen, Jussi Hiltunen, and Marko Mäkilaakso. Miikko Oikkonen, Antti Pesonen, Atro Lahtela, Matti Laine, Paula Mononen and Sanna Reinumägi serve as writers. Matti Halonen, Miikko Oikkonen, and Leila Lyytikäinen serve as executive producers.
