Bob Lee’s family confronts accused murderer Nima Momeni in San Francisco court
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: As IT consultant Nima Momeni made his way into the court in the murder trial of Cash App founder Bob Lee, the victim’s 20 family members were present to witness the alleged killer. During Tuesday’s April 25, hearing at the San Francisco court, the family made their presence felt with their sheer numbers but remained orderly throughout the proceeding. The 38-year-old is charged with stabbing Lee to death on April 4, before the two argued after fighting over the suspect’s sister Khazar Elyassnia.
San Francisco Assistant District Attorney Omid Talai was not convinced by the judge’s decision to grant the defense more time on the case to prepare. He argued that the arraignment had been postponed once already. Police claim that before Lee was murdered, the two men had talked on the phone about Khazar Elyassnia, with the suspect grilling the victim about whether they were “doing drugs or anything inappropriate.”
