'Bob Hearts Abishola' Season 2: Why is Episode 3 not airing? Here's what to expect when the sitcom returns soon

With the second season of 'Bob Hearts Abishola' premiering on CBS in November, there came a pleasant surprise: Bob Wheeler (Billy Gardell) wants to marry Abishola Adebambo (Folake Olowofoyeku). Unfortunately, his proposal plans were derailed when Abishola first refused. She was still technically married in her home Nigeria, and she may still have some abandonment issues from when her husband left her and her son, Dele Adebambo (Travis Wolfe Jr)

Thankfully, by the end of the episode, Abishola realizes that she does want to marry Bob and asks him in the end, and he happily accepts. So, now that Bob and Abishola are engaged, we are sure that the show is headed in a new direction. Though we are two episodes down, we are yet to see Dele, and given that Abishola needs a divorce before she marries Bob, it is quite certain that we will meet her ex soon enough.

However, we have to wait longer to see how that reunion will go (and how Bob will feel about meeting him) because the sitcom is going on a short break before returning in December.

Since their relationship is new, Bob and Abishola still have a lot to work through as we continue seeing them struggle with hiccups in their relationship. When 'Bob Hearts Abishola' returns for the third episode of its second season, we will see the couple tackle yet another hurdle. Bob is excited to show off Abishola at his industry awards gala but ruins the evening when he doesn’t let her speak for herself.

Now, a lot can come into play with this. Perhaps Abishola might feel that Bob is embarrassed by her — the way she speaks, her culture, or maybe, something else. However, given that they usually are able to solve their issues, we are certain they will be fine.

We are, of course, more excited to see a different pairing. Also in the upcoming episode, Douglas Wheeler (Matt Jones) tries fitting in with Goodwin (Bayo Akinfemi) and Kofo (Anthony Okungbowa) as one of the blue-collar guys on the warehouse floor. We have seen many interactions between Goodwin, Kofo, and Bob — and even Kofo and Christina Wheeler (Maribeth Monroe) — we have not extensively seen Douglas interact with them. Kofo and Goodwin possibly only respect Bob among the Wheeler siblings, so we wonder how it will sit when the baby Wheeler brother will come in to learn the trade.

In the previous episode, Douglas told his mother, Dottie Wheeler (Christine Ebersole) that he wanted to get more involved in the business and get a promotion. Dottie seems to be all for it, but only if Douglas earns it. It looks like Douglas is somewhat serious about his proclamation, but we have yet to see how his stint on the factory floor will go.

So, when will 'Bob Hearts Abishola' return? The sitcom is only going on a short break for one week and will return with new episodes on Monday, December 7.

'Bob Hearts Abishola' airs on CBS on Monday nights at 8.30 pm EST.
