When will 'Black-ish' Season 7 Episode 9 return? New air date and time announced after show's winter break
The fact that it's the designated Christmas celebration episode should have been hint enough, but in case you weren't aware, Episode 7 was the winter finale of the ongoing Season 7 of ABC's hit comedy 'Black-ish'. We get it, Wednesday nights won't be the same anymore without the crazy Johnson bunch but what also might hit you like a truck is tuning into ABC in January 2021 on Wednesdays and not seeing the show air at all!
That's right! When the show returns from its winter break, 'Black-ish' is set to air on a completely different day and time slot as opposed to its current Wednesday, 9.30 air time. But worry not, we've got you covered on when you can expect to catch the Johnsons and their shenanigans on screen soon!
Returning after a month and a half, the second set of episodes of 'Black-ish' Season 7, starting with the winter premiere, aka Episode 9 will air on Tuesday, January 26, at 9 PM only on ABC. The reason behind the shift in air day and time is probably because the spin-off series 'Mixed-ish' and 'Grown-ish' are expected to premiere in the winter slot so maybe the usual Wednesday night will get occupied with those other two sister shows of the series.
But then again, its current preceding time-slot occupied by 'The Conners' will continue to be taken up by the show's third season after they resume from their winter break on January 13, so 'Black-ish' could be moving a day up in its schedule for no particular reason at all.
The ABC network is yet to list the name of the 'Black-ish' winter premiere episode or even further details with a synopsis so as of now, all we have to bank on for speculations is the winter finale titled 'Compton Around the Christmas Tree'.
According to the official synopsis given by ABC, the episode saw "Dre realize he's out of touch with his roots after Junior claims he's turned into a "valley dad," so he takes the family to his hometown of Compton; Bow tries to teach Jack and Diane about the spirit of giving by having them volunteer in Compton."
The 'Black-ish' season 7 winter finale will air on Wednesday, December 2, at 9.30 pm on ABC.
