Black Marriage Day is annually celebrated on March 26 to highlight the beauty of marriages in Black communities and to honor partners for their fidelity and sacrifices. To ensure that children are nurtured in a secure and healthy environment, the goal is to establish links within families and the community.

In 2021, there were more than 300 communities participating, up from 30 in the beginning. It encourages people to create healthy relationships and challenges the idea of weak and unstable marriages.
