'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 7 may deal with Jennifer discovering her boyfriend Khalil Payne is still alive

There's no telling what Jennifer might do if she were to find Painkiller and as much as she might want to save him, there's very little of the real Khalil left in the living weapon that used to be her boyfriend.

Painkiller / Khalil Payne (Jordan Calloway) has been a changed man ever since he came back from the dead. He's pretty much lost all sense of humanity and received some serious upgrades that make him a very effective killing machine, a twisted and unstoppable supersoldier who never stops to question the morality of his actions.

He's killed a lot of people since his resurrection, starting with his own mother, and it doesn't look like he'll be slowing down anytime soon. Some of his comments so far have suggested that he may actually see his "work" as a sort of service, ending the pain of life by taking it away.

In 'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 5, Painkiller infected Anissa Pierce / Blackbird (Nafessa Williams) with his venom and Episode 6 saw her slowly succumbing to its fatal effects. She was eventually cured by the ever-resourceful Peter Gambi (James Remar), who noticed that the venom was similar to Khalil's.

The final moments of the episode showed Gambi discovering that Khalil's grave is empty, confirming his worst suspicions. Gambi now knows for a fact that Painkiller is alive and working for the A.S.A so it's just a matter of time before Khalil's old girlfriend Jennifer Pierce / Lightning (China Anne McClain) finds out as well.

In all probability, Gambi is going to be a little apprehensive about telling Jennifer that her boyfriend is still alive. Despite her vast abilities, Jennifer is a bit of a wild card because of her temper and her tendency to rush into situations without thinking things through. There's no telling what she might do if she were to find Painkiller and as much as she might want to save him, there's very little of the real Khalil left in the living weapon that used to be her boyfriend.

'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 7 will air on The CW on November 25.
