'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 5 will air a week late but we're still eager to see Agent Odell get what's coming to him

Episode 5 won't be airing this week and a rerun of the season premiere will be airing in its place on November 4 but the last episode set up a lot of plotlines and we can't wait to see how they play out

'Black Lightning' Season 3 won't be airing an episode this week because the show is going on a short break. Episode five will be airing a week late and a rerun of the season premiere will be airing in its place on November 4.

Episode four sets up a lot of things that we can't wait to see play out, including a possible confrontation between Khalil Payne / Painkiller (Jordan Calloway) and Lala / The Tattooed Man (William Catlett).

The last episode also dropped a major bomb, revealing that Agent Odell (Bill Duke) secretly manipulated Dr. Lynn Stewart (Christine Adams) into developing a Green Light addiction so that she would become dependent on her work for the ASA.

Meanwhile, Jefferson Pierce / Black Lightning (Cress Williams) is trying to stop the ASA occupation one way or another but Odell is currently keeping him in line with the threat that the ASA will round up Jefferson's children and take them to the Pit if he doesn't cooperate with the government.

However, what Jefferson doesn't know is that his youngest daughter Jennifer Pierce / Lightning (China Anne McClain) has secretly started operating as an ASA operative and Odell has her convinced that the ASA are the good guys.

Perhaps Jennifer's relationship with the ASA might sour once she finds out that her supposedly dead boyfriend Khalil has been turned into Agent Odell's personal supersoldier/assassin.

Odell has created an elaborate web of lies to cover up his real agenda, which is to capture all of Freeland's metahumans and turn them into weapons.

But it's only a matter of time before all the lies come out into the light and everything Odell has built comes crashing down and we can't wait to see this nefarious monster get what's coming to him. 

The cast of 'Black Lightning' Season 3 includes Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce / Black Lightning, Nafessa Williams as Anissa Pierce / Blackbird, China Anne McClain as Jennifer Pierce / Lightning, Christine Adams as Dr. Lynn Stewart, Jordan Calloway as Khalil Payne / Painkiller, Damon Gupton as Inspector Will Henderson, Chantal Thuy as Grace Choi and James Remar as Peter Gambi. 

'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 5 will air on The CW on November 11.
