Spoilers for ‘Billions’ Season 5 Episode 1 ‘The New Decas’

‘Billions’ has always been about rivalries and power tussles, but this season, it gets deeper into human affairs and complex emotions. At the end of season four, we saw Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff) beating a hasty retreat from her marital home, and crashing into Bobby Axelrod's (Damian Lewis) bachelor pad.

As season five begins, one of the major turning points in episode one is the impending decision over Wendy's divorce with Chuck Rhoades, Jr (Paul Giamatti). One document determines their fate. Soon, Wendy makes her decision and tells Chuck, “The separation has convinced me, we need to be done.”

Fans can't stop talking about the plot twist and are waiting to see Wendy's next step. One shocked fan wrote, "Oops. Wendy not wearing a wedding ring..." One viewer said, "Wendy took a page out of Chuck’s book. #Billions," and another wrote, "Okay but I'm very curious to see Axe and Wendy interact.... #Billions."

"I love Boss Bitch Wendy. #Billions," one fan posted, and another said, "I love Wendy. She is truly ice cold." One said, "I’m glad Wendy brought this up because I was wondering that same thing myself. #Billions."

Meanwhile, many others are also taken aback to see Wendy's decision to form a team-building activity. Becky Lynch, the WWE superstar, makes a cameo in the first episode to set the two teams straight after Taylor Mason's (Asia Kate Dillon) arrival. "OMFG WENDY CALLS BECKY! MY DREAM! #BILLIONS!" one WWE fan posted and another wrote, "Becky was great on @SHO_Billions, she played herself but the tie was clever. Two things stood out, 1. Wendy Rhodes is a better worker than Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler 2. Becky should give that speech to Charlotte because she actually doesn’t do the job when it’s time. #Billions."

If you haven't caught up with the first episode, here's the official summary for you," Bobby Axelrod reaches a major milestone; Chuck struggles to get his bearings, and he and Wendy navigate a new normal; tensions are high at Axe Cap now that Taylor Mason is back; Axe faces off against new rival Mike Prince." While ‘Billions’ was dropped early on the Showtime app, it will air live on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at 9 pm ET.
