BIGBANG set to make comeback at Coachella 2020 and fans can't keep calm: 'The kings are back!'
After a whirlwind couple of years since the release of their 2016 album, 'Made', the South Korean band BIGBANG is finally breaking their hiatus and that too at Coachella 2020.
Announced among the list of headliners on January 3, Coachella revealed the four-member band are resuming from hiatus by performing on both the weekends of the music festival, which is April 10 and 17. The group's last released music was their song 'Flower Road' that came out in March 2018, and after this, they went on hiatus due to members enlisting in the South Korean military. Besides, band member Seungri’s departure last year owing to legal and criminal investigations related to him also contributed to the hiatus
So fans went crazy with the announcement, as South Korean media had previously reported that the band was speculated to not remain together in the wake of the high profile legal investigations surrounding multiple members. But all of that has been labeled false as the band is very much reuniting and coming back — hopefully, more powerful and entertaining as ever, or so believe ardent fans on social media who haven't stopped screaming in delight over tweets, as is clear from them going all-caps.
"IM F*CKING CRYING BECAUSE BIGBANG IS COMING BACK!!! AND THEYRE DOING IT AT COACHELLA AFTER THEYVE COMEBACK FROM ENLISTMENT IN MILITARY. THEYRE THE FIRST KPOP MALE GROUP TO DO THIS IM ECSTATIC," shared an enthusiastic fan on Twitter, while another took time to deduce that is this probably was bandmember and rapper Tabi or T.O.P. meant when he took to Instagram to share a photo of generic Coachella crowd with the word 'Coache' written across the pic.
"Ohmmmyygahddd!!!! #BIGBANG ON COACHELLA on APRIL!!!THAT'S WHY TABI POSTED YESTERDAY ABOUT "COACHEE" OMGGG OMGGG...BB ARE COMING BACK!"
Speaking of the band that is also made up of members G-Dragon and Daesung alongside Tabi and Seungri, a third fan wrote: "THE KINGS ARE REALLY BACK!" This feat is even more iconic because as another fan so rightly put: "they're the first kpop male group to perform on Coachella! we miss you kings."
