'Big Brother' Season 26 has just added a massive twist, and it isn't human
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: CBS's 'Big Brother' Season 26 has recently introduced a revolutionary theme after days of speculations. 'Big Brother' Season 26 host Julie Chen Moonves teased an artificial intelligence-themed house, 'Big Brother Artificial Intelligence' or 'BB AI'.
Moonves took to her social media and announced, "Introducing BBAI 🚀... Unlocking the mysteries of the #BB26 house one algorithm at a time." The Instagram post also included a short clip that provided a glimpse into the different rooms of the house.
The CBS show often puts an unexpected twist on topical and pop culture themes and the latest technical spin is the most awaited one. Meanwhile, CBS has recently teased that an AI theme would bring the fun, the comedy, and the unexpected gameplay to the latest season.
'Big Brother' Season 26 gives a tour of AI-themed house
CBS has recently provided a tour of an AI-themed 'Big Brother' house. The bedrooms of the newly designed house were notably created using different 'BB AI prompts'. Meanwhile, the HOH room, where the houseguest will enjoy immunity while trying to figure out which contestants to nominate, gets a refreshing retreat.
The rooms have been redesigned with multiple blue sofas where houseguests can discuss nominations and form alliances. The front bedroom has been transitioned to a 'futuristic bedroom for the year 2500' with different colored beds stacked next to each other on varying levels.
Meanwhile, the second bedroom gets a stunning fantasy fairy garden. The BB AI fairy tale-looking room featured pink and purple bedding, forest wallpaper, and green carpet to mimic a forest floor.
'Big Brother' Season 26 host Julie Chen Moonves reflects on the AI theme
'Big Brother' Season 26 host Julie Chen Moonves has recently reflected on the latest AI theme, noting in an interview, "AI can be good. AI can be evil. So I'm pretty sure you’re gonna see the spectrum of that this season." She added, "I think the secret sauce of Big Brother is that there is a live component that no other reality show has. If you sign up, you can watch the houseguests 24/7."
The CBS show host further explained that no other reality show had introduced the AI then and "we can't fake it because of that reason." She added, "The live eviction shows are live. It's not like, 'Oh, let's do that over.' The competitions to see who becomes Head of Household are live. This is true reality."
'Big Brother' Season 26 will have a two-night premiere on Wednesday, July 17, and Thursday, July 18 at 9 pm ET. The episodes will also be available to stream on Paramount+.
