Biden's sister Valerie mocked after she roots for Meghan Markle as future POTUS
President Joe Biden's sister Valerie Biden Owens was mocked after she invited Meghan Markle to join the Democrat Party, saying she would make a great presidential candidate in the future.
The 76-year-old Owens said it was important to have more women in politics and that the Duchess of Sussex, 40, was "welcome to come in and join the Democratic Party." The Biden family has shared a close relationship with Prince Harry for nearly a decade. Meanwhile, reports suggest Markle has been talking to senior Democrats about the possiblity of a future campaign and career in US politics.

Joe Biden mocked for calling sister Valerie 'love of my life' in campaign gaffe
"It's wonderful to have women in politics," Owens told Good Morning Britain. "The more women we have the better our democratic system will work. We welcome her to come in and join the Democratic Party." When asked if Markle would be a good pick for POTUS someday, Owens said. "Yes, perhaps. Of course she will."

Both Owens and Markle were heavily mocked on social media. "She would have to give up her title if she did and that she will never do," one user tweeted. "Oh I don’t think so! She couldn’t even keep her job with the Crown," another wrote. "It’s easy to see where Biden gets his ass-backwards instincts. It’s in the DNA of the family," another person quipped. "This tells you how out of touch the Left and the Biden’s really are. Scary and yet amusing," a comment read. "Yes except for the fact she’s as likable as Joy Reid or Hillary Clinton," another offered.

During her interview with GMB, Owens also confirmed that Biden would run for a second presidential term in 2024, and defended his relentless gaffes as "truths." The 79-year-old commander-in-chief has been accused of being cognitively unfit for office due to his frequent gaffes, including referring to Veep Kamala Harris as 'President', inadvertently calling for regime change in Russia, and being unaware of his whereabouts, among other slip-ups.
Owens defended her sibling when asked about his critics who accuse him of not being mentally fit for office. "First of all, his gaffes are truths. He speaks the truth," she said. "Is he capable? Watch him. Look at him. He speaks the truth. Sometimes it comes out in a different way and people call it a gaffe. He speaks the truth."
I’ve always said Joe Biden’s “gaffes” aren’t gaffes at all but his actual thoughts & feelings especially on issues of race & national security.

Owens, who released a book 'Growing Up Biden: A Memoir' last month, revealed she wasn't so sure about Biden running against former President Donald J Trump in 2020. She explained, "All of the elections Joe ran, I was right there with him. 2020 was a different story. I was not enthusiastic about him running against the former president, because the former president I believe was committed to destroying my brother and my family."
Owens added, "Joe is the right person at the right time for the right job and there are lots of things still to do to carry on the agenda. There's no daylight between the private person and the public man. The American people know what Joe is about."
Finally, when asked if her brother will run for office again in 2024, Owens appeared confident that he will. "Yes. We've got stuff to do. Absolutely," she declared. It's worth noting that Owens has served as Biden's campaign manager for all of his Senate runs and his 2008 presidential bid. She was a senior adviser on his triumphant 2020 campaign.
