She is also known as the ‘Mayor of Hollywood’. The nonagenarian, veteran actor of the industry turned 98 on Friday, January 17, and it was a time for celebration for her fans and beloved admirers from all around the world. But two people stood out with their greetings, rather the way they greeted the legend. Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are known to be ‘very special’ to White and they celebrated the actor’s birthday in a very unique way.

The two co-stars found this as an opportunity to compete against each other, quite like the movie ‘Proposal’, where the trio had worked together. They had one of a kind tug-of-war wishing White on social media. It was fun, hilarious, and joyful.

It started off with both Bullock and Reynolds singing “Happy Birthday” individually and sharing the video on their respective Instagram handle. And then Bullock started the battle of comments adding to the video saying, “From Sandy, who loves you more than Ryan.”

Then it was Reynolds’ turn to give back to his co-star. The ‘Deadpool’ star is known for his witty humor, charm, and perfect comebacks. He commented in the same way, saying, “From Ryan, who loves you so much more than Sandy.” And then, he added, “What does Sandy do every year? Does she like show up and hand-deliver flowers for you wearing nothing but black socks and a dozen gold bracelets just like you requested. Doubt it."

Reynolds captioned his Instagram video as “Happy 98th Birthday to the one and only Betty White #XCVIII."

And finally, Bullock signed off saying, “I love you! Mwah!”

For her 98th birthday, White spent the day with her close friends and family, and the social posts by Bullock and Reynolds, which went viral, only made it more exciting for everyone.

Bullock and Reynolds worked with White in the 2009 classic romantic comedy ‘Proposal’, where White played Reynold’s adorable grandmother and turns out to be an important part of the duo’s romantic chemistry.
