Bette Midler is never one to mince her words when it comes to Donald Trump. This time around, she has done it yet again as she mocked his move to Florida post-presidency. Midler took to Twitter on Wednesday to share with her two million followers, "Seeing reports that the mood around Mar-a-Lago is dark, and that it isn't as 'lively' as it was before. Um, have you ever seen pictures of that place? It looks like a funeral home for funeral homes."

Trump moved to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, directly after leaving the White House, following President Joe Biden's inauguration on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Midler's tweet comes amidst reports that the once-booming resort, which was nicknamed the Winter White House, is seeing its members leave in the hundreds in order to avoid being associated with Trump.

In the past, the 'Hocus Pocus' actress famously uses the platform to denounce the Trump administration and Republicans. At one time, she also tweeted that Trump was a "vampire" and said he needs a "stake through the heart."

"Sometimes I think Whats-his-name is a kind of vampire and someone needs to drive a stake through his heart, so we can #breatheagain," Midler tweeted in December. "Of course, he's driven a lot of steak through his own heart tho, so...fingers crossed!" she added.

Twitter has since emerged with mixed reactions. Some are criticizing her for apparently being envious of the place. "Wow! Your envy is showing. Mar-A-Lago is one of the most gorgeous homes in Florida. It's right on the beach, with palm trees swaying & a vintage elegance that cannot be found in modern properties." "well, since your so old, seem like you should go join the Mar a lago funeral home club, I hear they have wonderful artist that can take that ugliness of yours way before you go 6 feet under," another user tweeted. With many others supporting her. "Now that Donald lives there, let's wish Mar-a-Lago have Florida style #YUGE SINKHOLE soon," one tweeted. "Tacky funeral home. Reflects the tastes of the owners." "Have you seen the new tenants they look like they need a funeral home lol," another said

Trump's popularity is reportedly declining everywhere in his beloved town. Speaking to MSNBC host Alex Witt on 'Weekends with Alex Witt' on January 23, Laurence Leamer, historian and author of 'Mar-a-Lago: Inside the Gates of Power at Donald Trump's Presidential Palace' reportedly said, "It's a sad place... it's not what it was." Leamer added that members said they "silently walked out" of the club after Trump's failed reelection bid. They told the author they were "not concerned about politics and they said the food is no good."

"Even here, people don't like him," Leamer said of Palm Beach residents. "It's just another measure of how his power has declined." Elsewhere, a condo complex in West Palm Beach, Florida, voted to unanimously remove the name 'Trump Plaza' from its towers, following the Capitol riots in Washington, D.C. "It's been a long time in coming," a Trump Plaza condo owner reportedly told The Palm Beach Post. "Most of us are relieved that the name will finally be off the buildings."
