MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Bernie Sanders has created yet another popular moment online after making a surprise cameo in a dance video on TikTok. The Vermont senator's viral Tiktok appearance was not the plan as he was on tour to promote his new book, 'It's Okay To Be Angry About Capitalism'.

Taylor Champ, a TikToker, shared the video on her account that was originally intended to be a fun dancing video with a doorman in Manhattan, but Sanders inadvertently entered the frame. The Vermont senator seems extremely irritated by the ruckus when he tries to pass the dancers. The amused viewers compared the 81-year-old with the actor and comedian Larry David.

Taylor's TikTok performance may not have impressed Sanders, but in her opinion, he "nailed" it. Taylor said in a different video that she was unaware Sanders was walking in the background until she stopped filming. "The one moment I step out of my comfort zone and I get in the way of Bernie Sanders' walking space," Taylor stated. "I apologize. It will never happen again," reports The Sun.

'Such a Bernie move'

The video amused viewers who responded with their clever observations about the senator. A user on Twitter wrote, "If he danced with them, he’d get my vote." Another user quipped, "How did these two people get into my TikTok?" "I love his “WTF?” face before he turns to leave," noted another user. A user wrote, "lol thats such a bernie move too!" One user remarked, "Shouldn’t politicians (especially ones who have run for @POTUS,) be a little bit better at ad libbing? Dance and live a little @BernieSanders !!!"

'That's Bernie Sanders doing Larry David'

Others compared Sanders to actor and comedian Larry David, who portrays the brash lead character in the show 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'. A user tweeted, "That's exactly how Larry David would react are we sure that wasn't Larry David." "that’s Larry David," wrote another. One user said, "Bernie Sanders? What? That's clearly Larry David, the night he quit Saturday Night Live." A user on TikTok also reacted to Sanders' special appearance. "We've seen Larry David do Bernie Sanders, that's Bernie Sanders doing Larry David."

The comedian and actor David frequently performed Sanders' impressions on Saturday Night Live. Even Al Roker, who appeared on a segment of the Today show in 2020, confirmed that the two were not connected to one another as the doppelgangers were having fun with one another.
