CAROLL COUNTY, KENTUCKY: A Kentucky man has been taken into custody for abusing a two-year-old boy and posting the video of the alleged abuse on a social media platform. Benjamin J Franklin, 23, was arrested by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department for criminal abuse of a child under 12 and strangulation on Thursday, October 13, 2022. The man is scheduled to be arraigned on October 19, authorities revealed.

As per the report, the officials were alerted by the mother about the child being abused and were informed that there was a related video on Franklin’s Snapchat account. The cops immediately rushed to Carroll County Memorial Hospital, where the kid was being treated. The mother was informed about the incident while she was at work as several people called her telling her a video had been posted to Franklin’s username on Snapchat holding the child by his neck and slamming him against the bed.

In his report, the deputy said the child had visible injuries to his face and neck. As per WAVE, the deputy said the child had sustained visible injuries to his face and neck. Once the cops were able to locate the accused, he was advised of his Miranda rights. During the investigation, Franklin confessed to deputies that he did physically abuse the child when no one else was around, according to the New York Post.

The 23-year-old man is currently kept at the Carroll County Detention Center on a $5,000 cash bond and has been ordered to have no connection with the child, his mother, or their home. 

Earlier, MEAWW had reported about Robert Terrell Dubose Jr, who broke a 3-month-old baby’s neck and tried to smother her twin sister. It was alleged that he was furious with the babies as they were crying, which led him to do the horrendous act. The incident was reported in Atlanta, Georgia on October 3, 2022.
