Why was Jared Woodin fired? 'Below Deck' Season 11 Bosun gets called out for 'poor manners' after messy feud
GRENADA, CARIBBEAN: Jared Woodin found himself in a feud with Kyle Stillie over spilling tobacco on the deck. Captain Kerry Titheradge was displeased with Jared's intoxicated reaction during the altercation and ended up firing the Bosun.
Reflecting on the incident, Captain Kerry remarked, "There's a lot going on last night that I didn't see. What I did see was two guys talking loudly...to me, it seemed like Kyle was trying to de-escalate the situation." However, in a confessional, Captain Kerry criticized Jared's behavior, "Jared has had a history of getting drunk and bad manners."
Seeking clarity, Captain Kerry questioned deckhand Kyle about the altercation. Kyle admitted that Jared was heavily intoxicated and verbally aggressive towards him. Additionally, Kyle revealed that Jared's behavior escalated to the point where he barged into Barbie Pascual's room, causing her to feel threatened.
After assessing Jared's behavior, Captain Kerry acknowledged, "This guy (Jared) is really creating a problem for me."
Addressing Jared directly, Captain Kerry expressed disappointment, stating, "This is the second time you've had bad behavior." He added that the way Jared is treating fellow crew members is not acceptable. "I have shown you compassion but you've got s**t going on your mind," said Captain. He then gave his verdict and asked Jared to depart from the deck.

As Captain dismissed Jared, he called Ben Willoughby for a quick chat, informing him, "Jared is leaving and we will be down a crew member this next trip, can you handle being Bosun on the boat?"
In a confessional, Kerry further explains, "Ben is a natural choice. I don't have many other options." The captain believes Ben's extensive experience on the boat makes him well-suited for the role, although he acknowledges that the absence of Jared will increase the pressure on Ben.
