Ben Shapiro calls Trump 'deeply irresponsible' for claiming win, slammed for 'pretending to be a conservative'
Conservative commentator Ben Shaprio took to Twitter, stating that it was ‘irresponsible’ for President Donald Trump to declare premature victory in the election and insist that the duly cast votes be not counted in the battleground states. His opinion was not well received by his followers.
The Daily Wire editor and the host of 'The Ben Shapiro Show' expressed his disagreement with the POTUS' decision to move to the US Supreme Court to stop the count of the remaining legitimate votes in battleground states that is supposed to decide the winner of the election. "No, Trump has not already won the election, and it is deeply irresponsible for him to say he has," Shapiro tweeted.

His post soon went viral with nearly 100K likes and and over 15K retweets in a few hours of him putting it out there. However, many of his followers backed Trump's call to halt the counting of the votes and slammed Shapiro for not siding with the POTUS.
"He is winning by great margins. And the Dems are cheating. So, yeah, I see that as a forfeit. Not only has he won, but the Dems believe it, too, or why would they stop counting votes to re-strategize their cheating?" one said, while another commented, "Leading by 120k in GA 700k in PA lmfao, what numbers I lookin at trump won" A third remarked, "You realize in EVERY other election when the vote is 99% in, and the margin is too big to make up, they have called it."
Another commented, "Man, they’re playing huge games. They just flat out stopped voting, Ben. This is pure lunacy that they’re behaving this way in battlegrounds." Someone else remarked, "It is deeply irresponsible for you to keep pretending to be a conservative." The next said, "This was fishy from day one, Ben. He is within his right to take them to task for everything they are pulling."

After disagreeing with the president, Shapiro also attacked a statement from Democratic nominee Joe Biden's campaign which called president’s statement about trying to shut down the counting of duly cast ballots "outrageous, unprecedented, and incorrect." Shapiro tweeted, "That is a lie. He said, 'We want all voting to stop. We don’t want them to find any ballots at 4 o’clock in the morning and add them to the list, okay?' In other words, he doesn't want people VOTING after election day, or fraudulent ballots delivered. Which is the law."

In his remarks from the East Wing of the White House, Trump attacked legitimate vote-counting efforts, saying: "Millions and millions of people voted for us. A very sad group of people is trying to disenfranchise that group of people." Trump insisted that the states where vote tallies currently show him leading should be called in his favor despite significant votes yet to be counted. "We were getting ready for a big celebration. We were winning everything. And all of a sudden it was just called off," he said, and claimed fraud without any evidence. "This is a fraud on the American public. This is an embarrassment to our country," Trump claimed. "Frankly we did win this election," he said.
