Was Tony depressed? 'Below Deck' Season 10 star shares his sob story
In the upcoming episodes, we will often see Tony waking up in the morning and working out. But is he doing it only to stay fit or is there another reason? In the 'Deadliest Snatch' episode, we will see Tony waking up at 5.30 am in the morning and exercising where most of the other cast members have barely opened their eyes. He claimed in the sneak peek video, "Working out is super important for me. This is how I deal with my stress."
Tony is further seen stretching out while working out in the deleted video. Furthermore, Tony shared his story with 'Below Deck' fans. The star claimed that back in 2011, he was "really depressed." Tony fell into depression because his dad's sickness really hit him. The sneak peeks also popped up an old photo of Tony, probably from 2011. He looked much heavier in the pic than he is now. However, back in his depression phase, the only thing that helped him get back was "working out." Tony claims, "I tried to find a healthy way to deal with that. You're replacing soul pain with physical pain." The star laughed while explaining, "You know what I'm saying."
Tony explained his experience in a social media post, saying, "One of the most fun and craziest experiences for me so far. Never thought I will be on a reality show but here I go, trying to do what I do best, get myself out of my comfort zone and explore new horizons." The star's motto is, "Life is short and the world is wide." He explains this by calling himself "a guy from the tropics."
