The series 'Baby' first debuted in 2018 on Netflix accumulating quite a fan base, much like 'Elite' did and had fans baited in with intense highschool themed drama such as drugs and prostitution. The story is alluring with Rome's' wealthiest now part of the underground world, and many are upset that this will be the last season of the fast-paced show.

According to reports, the series is loosely based on the "Baby Squillo" scandal of 2014 where two women from a Rome high school were involved in an underage prostitution ring. With filming for Season 3 already complete in February 2020, here is what we know about the series' final installment:

Release date

'Baby' Season 3 will release on September 16, 2020, with six episodes.

Plot

The plot of the series, that could be considered heavy for some, is that of two young high school woman who live in Rome's wealthiest part go outside their world and explore the underground life of the city. Leading double lives, they run into some intense issues that no teenage girl should be part of. The official synopsis reads, "How long can you keep lying to yourself? As the police close in and their secrets begin to surface, Chiara, Ludo and Damiano grapple with volatile family dynamics and a looming public scandal."

Creators

Andrea De Sica, Letizia Lamartire, Anna Negri and Antonio Le Fosse serve as directors for the series. Fosse, Giacomo Mazzariol, Marco Raspanti, Romolo Re Salvador, Eleonora Trucchi, Isabella Aguilar and Giacomo Durzi serve as writers. Marco De Angelis and Nicola De Angelis serve as executive producers.

Trailer

The trailer is as exciting as the series, and while this may be the final installment of the Italian Netflix Original, it seems as though they are going out with a bang. Chiara and Ludo have lived double lives for a long time, with no one, neither friends nor family knowing about their nightly outings that at times make them feel powerful.

What seemed to be a world that they could easily hide in is now tearing apart as the police close in, threatening all their secrets that they had neatly kept under wraps. We don't know if Ludo or Chiara will see jail time, but from the looks of the trailer, there is definitely a trial.
